Aileen Castillo is a public health professional, graduate from UC Irvine, and currently working on her Masters at University of San Francisco. She is an experienced program coordinator with a demonstrated history of working with nonprofit organizations and serving underserved communities throughout California. Her public health interests range from homelessness, nutrition, chronic disease management, and much more. Born to Nicaraguan parents and having taken several trips to Nicaragua she has a lot of pride for her beautiful country and views it as a hidden gem. With understanding the great need in Nicaragua she believes community work is essential to helping the community thrive. Public Health is the bridge to prevention, long term health, and progress. She appreciates that SOL provides such an important pillar of public health for Nicaraguans
