In an effort to extend support to communities in need, Seeds of Learning is excited to work with the Center for Farmworker Families, an organization that provides education, advocacy, and direct support for farmworker families in Watsonville.

We invite you to join us and other volunteers from Center for Farmworker Families on Friday, November 14, from 1:00–4:00 PM to volunteer and help with their monthly Community Shed Distribution. During this time, basic supplies, household essentials, and food will be given to over 300 local families - many of whom are originally from Oaxaca, Mexico, where we have been working for the last three years.

Volunteers can assist with setup, organizing, and distributing items. We’re also collecting books (any kind—just not adult books in English), diapers (sizes 4, 5, and 6), wipes, baby or toddler clothes and more.

If you’d like to volunteer and/or donate items, please email us for details and directions. Stay tuned for more local, hands-on volunteer opportunities coming in the new year!
